On-the-Job Instructor

Job Description:

Former IRS-Criminal Investigation Special Agents are being sought to provide On-the-Job Instructor services to IRS-CI Special Agents in the area of complex financial investigations, with particular focus on Title 26 tax cases. Training will be provided at various IRS-CI office locations throughout the country. The OJIs will be responsible for guiding and mentoring trainees, maintaining a detailed training record, and ensuring that the trainees successfully complete all aspects of a structured training program in a satisfactory and timely manner.

Qualifications:

The candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:

– Experience conducting complex Title 26 investigations and other cases related to violations of the Internal Revenue Code and related financial crimes.
– A thorough knowledge of the tools, techniques, and methodologies used by IRS-CI in the investigation of income tax violations and other financial crimes under its jurisdiction.
– Strong communications and mentoring skills and the ability to impart knowledge and provide guidance and instruction in an efficient and effective manner.
– Administrative and organizations skills necessary to verify and document the achievements of new Special Agents as they progress through a structured training program.
